What you tell yourself always persists in your life

A conversational analysis of “What you tell yourself always persists in your life.” - Rev. Dr. Michael Bernard Beckwith.

Aakinsol: "Hey, have you heard the quote 'What you tell yourself always persists in your life'?"

Kunle: "Yes, I have. It's really powerful. What do you think it means?"

Aakinsol: "Well, I think it means that the thoughts and beliefs we have about ourselves and our lives actually shape our reality."

Kunle: "That's so true. If we constantly tell ourselves we're not good enough or that we'll never succeed, those beliefs will hold us back or that ‘Ebi npa wa’."

Aakinsol: "Exactly! And on the other hand, if we tell ourselves we're capable and deserving of success or that there abundance of food, we'll be more likely to achieve it."

Kunle: "It's like our inner dialogue is a self-fulfilling prophecy. What we tell ourselves becomes our truth."

Aakinsol: "Right! And it's not just about positive affirmations, it's about being aware of our thoughts and choosing to focus on the ones that empower us."

Kunle: "Absolutely. By changing our inner narrative, we can change our lives."

K. Daramola: "When our inner dialogue or self-talk becomes intentionally positive, then we become awake to our power, beauty and magnificence."

"But almost all have theirs on unconscious auto-drive and negatively oriented"

"The idea that 'you create your own reality' can be hard to believe, and many people find it more plausible that external forces shape our experiences."
